The Perfection 4180 Photo is a reasonably priced, very high resolution scanner with some nifty image restoration software.
The Perfection 4180 Photo scanner has double the resolution of the 2480 model, and can be used for scanning medium format film frames as well as 35mm negatives or slides. Up to 12 frames of 35mm film, or up to four 35mm mounted slides and six medium format film frames can be accommodated in the transparency unit.

I am using an Epson Perfection 4180 to scan a lot of old 35mm film strips. I really like the batch scan, but seem to get pretty poor quality. I found that scanning at 2400 and 1200 dpi gave the same general quality, one was 4x bigger,and had more grainy dots, but no real information. I used...
