RIM has hit back at competition from Apple’s iPhone and Nokia’s E71 with a high-end, feature-rich new handset that adds 3G and HSDPA to the BlackBerry for the first time.

Like most people I'm very aware of the existence of Research In Motion (RIM) and their <b>BlackBerry</b> products. This is the first time I've used one in anger, and I'm pleased to say it's not all hype!

RIM kicked off the whole push email thing, when only pin-striped business types owned its oversized handsets. Now that everyone is muscling in on its territory, though, it's having to put a lot more effort into its hardware.
