Pros

  • The device performs very well during daily use
  • The smartphone is nicely designed
  • the Vienna is great
  • and it feels quite solid in the hand
  • it performed well in all conditions
  • offering a nice balance between features and cost
  • It is nice to hold in the hand
  • they are actually quite good
  • Viewing angles on this display are pretty good as well
  • the camera also performed pretty well
  • feels nice and comfortable in the hand

Cons

  • lack of illumination for the capacitive buttons
  • Front-facing cameras always tend to produce poorer results
  • It cannot be currently customized by the user
  • The default software is too busy for my taste
  • it does not work for built-in apps
  • device may be too hot or have other apps running in the background
  • this setting cannot be enforced by the benchmark app
  • Battery life is very sensitive to changes in screen brightness
  • the phone does get a bit warm
  • crashed repeatedly and was unable to get back into the device
  • not the latest version of Android

Up and coming Android manufacturers are proving that you do not have to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to get a good smartphone. The Xiaomi Mi4c, which I reviewed late last year, is a fantastic alternative to big-name devices from the likes of Samsung and LG that does not break the bank. The new Mi4s is shaping up to be even better, and the Mi5 looks to be more impressive still.
