Pros

  • Android felt silky smooth and apps were very quick to load
  • produces rich
  • punchy colours and has outstanding contrast compared
  • it performs quite well
  • solid and easy-to-hold build
  • all-metal design
  • solid software experience and fast fingerprint
  • It works pretty well
  • Viewing angles are decent in most conditions
  • The stock camera app is pretty nice
  • overall battery life is very impressive

Cons

  • the colours are a little warm
  • mono speaker on the bottom edge
  • the frame rate was too slow to enjoy it
  • whites can appear rather subdued and gloomy
  • much of the design in Sense UI is starting to look tired
  • new phone with Android on is complete without a fingerprint scanner
  • the price has dropped dramatically to $280 in the US
  • it looks a lot like an iPhone 6S
  • no QuickCharge power block in the box
  • The biggest loss is the Boomsound speakers on the front of the phone
  • the slower speed of the 617 is hard to overlook at times
