The Lumia 830 is an adequate phone for its price, but it has some tough competition from the ranks of Android.
In-depth review of the Nokia Lumia 830 (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8926, Qualcomm Adreno 305, 5.0", 0.2 kg) with numerous measurements, benchmarks, and ratings
Nokia Lumia 830 photos, specs, and price
Microsoft correctly labels the Nokia Lumia 830 as an "affordable flagship," with an appealing mix of performance, features, and price. And the phone will improve somewhat once Microsoft pushes the Lumia Camera app to the phone.
Nokia Lumia 830 brings the company's PureView and Rich Recording camera and audio technologies to a lower $350 price point, which will give you a 5” HD display and a quad-core Snapdragon 400 chipset only, but a 10 MP camera with optical image stabilization...
If "affordable flagship" sounds like an oxymoron to you, you haven't met the Lumia 830. It's a fine ending for the former Finnish phone-maker.
Nokia Lumia 830 review: A mid-range phone with a top-of-the-range camera
Nokia Lumia 830 is probably the last smartphone to wear the iconic Nokia logo, five letters with so much history behind. And while it might not be a model...
Not top-of-the-range, and not budget - but the Lumia 830 isn't just right either
Launched at IFA 2014 and available for just over a week now, here's my review of the new 'Nokia Lumia 830' - if you look very, very closely at the small print, there's mention of 'Microsoft Mobile' (expect future Lumias to have Microsoft much higher in the mix though). Billed as an 'affordable flagship', the 830 does get most of the way to fulfilling this claim, perhaps only falling short at the moment because the software that enables much of its main USP is currently missing in action.
The Lumia 830 isn't blow-you-away amazing, but strikes a good balance between price and performance.
The thinnest Windows Phone 8.1 mobile around, but is it thin on substance too?
If "affordable flagship" sounds like an oxymoron to you, you haven't met the Lumia 830. It's a fine ending for the former Finnish phone-maker.
The Nokia Lumia 830 is a middling phone that's outmatched by a range of other options on AT&T.
