Nokia's C6-01 never seemed to catch the popular mood in the same way the E7 or the N8 has, but it has its dedicated fans. I'm one of them, and it's time to look back on the rise (and fall) of the C6 in my pocket, How did it get there, why did it stay there so long, and ultimately what pushed it out and into the “spare” pocket of my rucksack?
Can the cheapest Symbian^3 phone to date offer good value?
Of the launch line of Symbian^3 phones, we've had a look at the N8, the mobile camera extraordinaire, the C7, a touch of elegance, and now it's the turn of the Nokia C6-01, the most affordable of the line with a smaller screen and a thicker form-factor...
The Nokia C6-01 comes in as a reasonably priced and well-built smartphone with great all-round connectivity and a unique feature to set it apart from...
The Nokia C6-01 may have been the "low end" device at Nokia World 2010, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to recommend it. Packing one…
Not to be confused with the similarly-titled C6, the C6-01 enters the crowded smartphone arena at the lower end, and is priced accordingly.
This is a preview of the new Nokia C6-01. It is a new Symbian ^3 smartphone by Nokia which sports some really good hardware specs. It has an 8 MP camera, a 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen display and an ARM 11 680 MHz processor with 256 MB RAM.

70213 Here's a review of the Nokia C6-01 written by our very own HC no i Design and Specifications 70211 The Nokia C6-01 is a Symbian^3 based mid-range smartphone. It has a candy bar form factor, 3.2" AMOLED display, glass touch screen with chrome bezel and stainless steel housing. There are several chrome buttons around including the volume rocker, screen lock slider, camera shutter release on the right side and a backlit home button on the front. The backlit Call / Answer and End /
The Nokia C6-01 is a small, compact, and durable device that suffers from sluggish and out-dated software in Symbiam^3. The touch screen is not adequately sized for daily web browsing and video playback. The structure of the OS is annoying and impractical, as it took constant navigation through nested menus to find desired locations. The media player continued to perform well, and the extended life of the 1050mAh battery was quite surprising. Hopefully, Nokia can accelerate their research and development for their upcoming Windows 7 devices, in order to prevent any delays, which might cause the release of an unnecessary Symbian^3 device. Overall, the Nokia C6-01 maintains Nokia’s continuing commitment to impressively designed devices, without any attention or changes to the out-dated, preloaded software. The $0.00 pricing on a 3-year contract is a great price point, but I am baffled as to why this device jumps to over $200 on a 2-year contract.
