Ahead of the RAZR revival, we look at the phone that established the brand This year, Motorola will resurrect its most successful phone ever: the RAZR. Originally launched in 2004, this trend-setting handset sold in excess of 50 million units between 2004 and 2006, and kickstarted a 'thin-phone' revolution that arguably continues to this very day. The Motorola RAZR foldable flip phone is a flashback to 2004, but could be the big comeback for the clamshell
The Motorola RAZR brings back so many good feelings that I really wanted to love it. But as I've used it, I've realized it's too much of a compromise. Here's why I'm returning it.
Motorola Razr V3 (AT&T)
Motorola Razr (2019) is here. It has the look of the classic RAZR, but now with a foldable display that's very different to the Galaxy Fold.
Motorola has revived the Razr namesake, and with it brought us a modern smartphone packing a gorgeous foldable screen. It's a splash of something new while still evoking the nostalgic look and feel of a phone you can slam shut. But for all this beauty and wonder, there is a cost.
We really, really wanted to like this phone.
The Razr V3i comes with a 1.2MP camera, a more than respectable 5 hours of talk time and some nice looks
