  • Color and contrast are very good on this lens and detail is
  • a surprisingly good performer for its price point
  • autofocus is fast and quiet
  • produces perfectly sharp images at all focal distances
  • really great performance for a zoom lens in this price class
  • The system works perfectly and is silent
  • detailed
  • clear and professional descriptions of photographic equipment
  • compact
  • lightweight and inexpensive

Cons

  • The lens has no distance scale and no focus limiter
  • the zooming action was a little on the rough side
  • a bit of light fall-off in the extreme corners
  • autofocus can be slow
  • No depth of field scale on lens
  • Focussing is quite slow for an AF-S
  • just fractionally longer and heavier than its predecessor
  • access to the focus ring is lost
