Pros

  • It sounded pretty good and fit my limited budget
  • affordable and value-packed products
  • a really nice and clean listening windows
  • does remarkably well in a very compact package
  • agility is combined with a performance that s wonderfully energetic
  • Comprehensive connectivity
  • extensive features and a very effective remote app
  • a balanced delivery and excellent levels of detail
  • similar connectivity to the Node
  • an engagingly musical performer - dynamically fluid and punchy
  • wider-scale

Cons

  • forlorn in my state of not having bought a new instrument
  • DAC performance in the Power node
  • crappy User Interface design
  • requires an Ethernet connection to your home router
  • Onkyo is limited to 24/96 via coaxial and optical inputs
  • Vault does require an Ethernet connection to your Network Router/Modem
  • lose track of it in the event of a network outage
  • performing some other tasks can be confusing and tedious
  • a wee bit rough around the edges
  • tape reels spinning on the original vinyl pressing
  • shortcomings are software related and therefore fixable
