  • 35mm focal length is great for photojournalism
  • wide focal length and a reasonably wide aperture
  • providing a substantially enlarged and very comfortable working surface

Cons

  • hood cannot be installed in a position that causes strong mechanical vignetting
  • Sigma loses points for its lack of filter threads
  • all situations permit use of the magnified live view method

  • under maximum magnification where very precise manual focusing can be very reliably established
  • an upgraded physical design including weather sealing and strong aesthetic improvements

  • exceptionally smooth to operate
  • uniformly excellent and very welcome in a lens
  • image sharpness is excellent from the outset
