Contrast is good
The focusing ring is silky smooth and has just the right amount of resistance
The lens is absolutely beautifully crafted and a joy to use
much smoother bokeh for creamy out of focus backgrounds
it sounds like the 58G is better
solid and well-built
the ability to just melt the most challenging backgrounds into a nice painting
such a fantastic and at the same time versatile lens
make it easy to shoot compelling lifestyle images

lens lacks autofocus
there is no system provided for locking the aperture at this setting
low level of fringing will be very difficult to spot
No hood is supplied as standard with this lens
these lenses are very rare especially below 100mm
the MTF results are not directly comparable across the different systems
contrast increases and the borders recover to good level
focusing movement a bit stiff
the start and stop motions are tight
the aperture ring stops are in fill stop increments only
it tends to collect a lot of dirt
over-corrected SA which produces harsh backgrounds
