Pros

  • good one and record with studio-like quality
  • Great sound quality
  • mobility
  • and versatility
  • comfortable and performs superbly in all of them
  • A great piece of kit at a great price
  • This recorder is great in a number of situations
  • Establishing a USB connection is very fast and trouble free
  • is functional and easy to use
  • make it easy to shoot compelling lifestyle images
  • Internal mics are quite good

Cons

  • DR40 is not the smallest product of its kind
  • bit and sample rates reduced in Four-channel mode
  • it takes 2 seconds BEFORE starting
  • all models will be affected
  • Nor have I used better mics with the XLR inputs
  • the new LED screen jumps out immediately
  • Not a common adapter
  • this is not a good product
  • venue's audio system was not reliable
  • Audio sync drifts after 30 minutes
  • The features blow away all of the competition at the same price
