Pros

  • controls are mostly very intuitive
  • this circle of buttons is very neat and effective
  • They are rechargeable and easy to replace
  • auto-shutdown feature is especially helpful in conserving battery life
  • excellent sound quality
  • light and very easy to hold and handle
  • speed playback equalizer helps smooth out levels and avoids clipping
  • more accurate
  • repeatable settings
  • low cut filter is quick and easy
  • batteries performed well enough to last for an entire night s worth of audio

Cons

  • signals peak too high and another that shows the record status
  • lack of XLR inputs
  • switch the recorder off accidentally)
  • lack of compatibility
  • bluish display color that has replaced the amber in the older model
  • some extra rechargeable batteries and a battery charger
  • slower without altering the pitch of your sound
  • it s not the quietest or most sensitive field recorder available
  • adding fade in/out volume control
  • noise became apparent when ambient levels fell below 45dB
  • the experience still felt sluggish to me
