Pros

  • good features and a very good zoom range
  • The zoom range is quite impressive
  • color accuracy is surprisingly good by any metric
  • Intelligent Auto and Intelligent Auto+
  • excellent zoom and ease of use
  • durable
  • waterproof build lets
  • features optical stabilization and performs acceptably at higher ISO sensitivity settings
  • image quality is excellent

Cons

  • The camera only shoots JPEGs and there's no RAW file support
  • Image quality gets a little noisy in low light and
  • much of a handgrip on the right side
  • mild distortion in the shadows
  • autofocus is a bit slow at locking focus
  • noise reduction is very destructive to fine detail
  • loss of resolution as you zoom in
  • image quality sees a big drop off after ISO 800
  • no real grip offered here
  • Maximum aperture is rather dim
  • Sony WX80 is not the highest resolution Small Sensor camera
