  • the XF85 s rear are solid enough for its money
  • sound is actually pretty good
  • Motion handling is great
  • wider color gamut and better color volume for
  • Image remains accurate when viewed at an angle

  • there s no local dimming system in play
  • makes the picture look either a bit too blue or a bit too red respectively
  • dark scenes are left looking unconvincing and drab
  • a bright element or two looks painfully grey and washed out
  • the edge backlight implementation is particularly poor
  • suffers quite badly with stutter and lag
  • backlight badly lets the side down
  • the set uses an edge backlight
