Pros

  • Great light output and efficient
  • It provided adequate
  • all day long light for delicate tasks up close
  • It works very well for night hiking and navigation
  • Aurora-Small

  • best designed and most versatile headlamp on the
  • bright light
  • great battery life
  • It works very well with NIMH rechargeable batteries

Cons

  • Velcro Strap to mount to Bike Helmet
  • the power meter turns off to conserve the power
  • battery pack is bumped in some way
  • The Apex is a bit heavy
  • plastic hinge breaks and the plastic around each top screw cracks
  • the light is completely submerged
  • 3-watt claim is a poor measuring stick
  • Casing details a little flimsy for my liking
  • doesn t mean it s not a valuable resource
  • my daylight outdoor fun hours were severely compromised
  • total beam distance drops into the sixty meter range
