Pre-PMA 2008: Panasonic has today launched an entirely new line of Lumix compact digital cameras - the FS series. This appears to be conceptually similar to the FX line but slightly below that premium range in terms of specification and possibly build quality.   • quick response makes it easier to capture sudden
  • solid and well-built
  • make it easy to shoot compelling lifestyle images
  • Autofocus is fairly quick for a compact camera
  • The software for the computer is very handy
  • easy and simple operation
  • Picture quality is excellent
  • the menus are easy to use
  • battery life is pretty good even for a photoholic like
  • consistent detail and colour in each photo that
  • lcd screen is nice and clear and the buttons are functional

Cons

  • Flash is low powered and only useful for short range or fill flash
  • colour bleeding is dramatically suppressed
  • high-resolution picture recording
  • Excessive noise reduction on images causes loss of detail
  • Its too slow for me - I'm upgrading
  • quick transfer to your computer with the regular included cable
  • Face Detection detects up to 15 faces anywhere in the frame
