Pros

  • The system fan mostly stays quiet under basic productivity workloads
  • impressive performance and lots of helpful business features
  • matte displays are better at cutting down glare
  • can recognize up to 10 fingers simultaneously and worked perfectly during testing
  • particularly thanks to the smooth Windows Precision driver
  • The CPU performance has also been improved
  • cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye
  • viewing angles are very good as this is an IPS display
  • great image quality and vivid colors
  • calm cooling fans and the generous warranty
  • It also has a very generous warranty package with premier support

Cons

  • colors look washed-out and overly cool
  • The memory is soldered to the motherboard though
  • Battery life is a slight weak point compared to some rivals
  • an unnecessary and pointless annoyance
  • washed-out tones are tiresome on the eyes
  • Lenovo also compromised on the X390's touchpad
  • matte display is definitely not for everyone
  • speakers are lacking in bass and not particularly loud
  • the sound they produce is unbalanced and lacking in bass
  • notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession
  • the RAM is firmly soldered on and cannot be expanded or replaced
