Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm f/2.8-4 ASPH

Pros

  • your images are lovely
  • the lens is extremely well built
  • better build quality and more reach
  • the bokeh is nice
  • both fast and accurate
  • it is solidly built and a very good imaging performer
  • constant aperture is definitely attractive
  • the lens handles very nicely on any of the SL cameras
  • Mike - looks great as always
  • Both lenses performed extremely well at all focal lengths
  • lens hood actually works well on the 24-90 without causing vignetting

Cons

  • very often shooting in precarious
  • lack of a longer end
  • so wide than it gets a bit less use
  • weight and size of this lens
  • It does not store any personal data
  • Nor will you find an AF/MF switch or stabiliser control
  • This site uses Akismet to reduce spam
  • there is a little fall-off towards the corners
  • sharpness drops a little at the telephoto end
  • it still looks a little pricey
  • low light performance pretty poor)
