Cardas and Moon Audio also make nice cables
T1 is good for those
It also scales very well with high end amps
The sound is cleaner and more refined
Beyer T1 is superior
Ergonomics is also far improved
has better scalability with the best of amps
sound is smooth and has room to breath
-500 is far easier to enjoy and appreciate
The bass is very detailed yet still strong and punchy
The sound is warm yet still balanced and detailed

Sound leakage is another obvious issue

it could never be called the focus of the HE-500 s sound

HD650 appeared to be in a very poor condition
distorted on the low end and feels Reverb heavy

Headphone producer Head-Direct seems unstoppable when it comes to releasing new orthodynamic based headphones. The newest arrival is named HE-500 and slots in between the HE-5LEs and the HE-6s. New for the HE-500s is a special driver setup that allows for much higher efficiency.
