After auditioning a wide range of stereo music, I reached a few more conclusions. First, the Focal system doesn’t mess excessively with two-channel audio. The Dimension soundbar widens the inherently narrow stereo soundstage a bit but eschews more extreme DSP effects and their probable impact on timbre. Second, as alluded to above, while treble was consistently satisfying, the bar couldn’t match the airy ease and top-octaves fine detail, nor the “sweetness” on strings, of audiophile loudspeakers—and at high volume levels, it could get a little forced and peaky.
Dimension is a bold move for Focal but it’s paid off. A high-end, high-quality soundbar
Last Updated - Sunday, February 14, 2016If you’re in the market for a soundbar that won’t pose a threat to living room space, and if you have the money to burn, then perhaps the Focal Dimension will catch your fancy. It is made from the French brand which is able to fire 5.1 sound into your living room without the hassle of thinking about space. However, it is by no means cheap, but it does offer superior sound, beautiful design, and superb build quality that ultimately justifies the heft in its price. The Focal Dimension Justifies its High Price Point
Our Focal Dimension review takes a look at a soundbar system with option sub to see how it compares to a full blown surround system.

Soundbar or Sound Plinth? With the Focal Dimension, it's up to you to decide.
The Focal Dimension is an ideal soundbar for the audiophile in search of high fidelity on a (relatively reasonable) budget.

An impressive-sounding soundbar with a few setup faux-pas
Focal’s high-end soundbar packs a real punch without a subwoofer, but we’d have liked more HDMI inputs and Bluetooth at this price.
Focal, with its fine heritage in high-end speaker design, made the decision to join the soundbar club probably after it saw how successful Bose and B&W were doing at the premium end of the market.
