Casio is expanding is Exilim Zoom range with the announcement of two new additions, the EX-Z50 and the EX-Z55, which maintain a thin body construction and large LCD screens. The aluminium bodied cameras both have a 5.3 megapixel CCD and a 2-inch (Z50) and 2.5-inch (Z55) screen and are 23mm wide. A Photostand features allows users to run a slideshow of images, while the camera sits in its cradle. The Z50 will be priced (£329 ($399) and the Z55 will be £349 ($449).

This is a great-looking, 5-megapixel point-and-shoot with a big screen and so-so photo quality.
Casio's EX-Z55 sports a lightweight aluminium body with a large 2.5-inch colour LCD and small optical viewfinder. It comes with 9.3MB of internal memory (enough for four high-resolution images) and an SD/MMC card slot. The retracting smc Pentax 3x zoom lens is reasonably fast and the camera is supplied with a docking cradle for downloading pictures and recharging the battery.
PC Magazine checks out the Exilim Zoom EX-Z55, Casio's 5 megapixel ultracompact (roughly the size of a credit card in length and width) digital camera which has a large 2.5-inch LCD, good startup time, a 3x optical zoom, uses SD memory cards and a features a decent set of manual controls.
