The electronic variable ND is nice
XF400 is pretty good in my view
make it easy to shoot compelling lifestyle images
Nice picture quality and autofocusing seems great
It feels very comfortable and pleasant to work with

autofocus is unreliable for video
The ire of the lens is very small to observe
There is a night mode feature but no night vision
Auto white balance function takes longer time
ability to review your slow motion footage on the spot
zero documentation on the topic
Quite a bit heavier/larger than the XA30
Canon has a very tedious process for changing camera settings
lack of a LOG shooting profile in the XF400
