I’ve noticed that earphones in the $100-$150 range are let down by the sound quality more often than expected - maybe 1 in 3 are worth recommending on sound alone. This is not at all the case with the Brainwavz R3Read more
This is a nice sounding set of earphones that stays put on my ears without falling off. Many other over-the-ear earphones I've tried, simply fall off. These do not and it's because of the length of Memory-Wire running directly to the ear pieces themselves. They are formable, using a solid copper wire, which can be manipulated to fit my monkey-like ears :D. I can run, jump, do somersaults and they don't fall off. For me personally, I found that the foam tips provided the best sound and isolation. The default plugs didn't do me much good, but that is why there are a bunch of included different sized earphone tips to choose from. The driver housings are bigger than normal, but that's because of the twin-driver design. I'll admit it does sound better, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings any if they can pair up that technology with a smaller footprint in the next model, although it's not a deal breaker. Sound. Yes, it is as good as you'd expect the Brainwavz brand to produce and I wasn't disappointed by any means. Bass, Mids, Highs? These are all good, especially considering I use these on low voltage devices like my iPhone. I haven't used, nor will I prob ever use these with a headphone amp, so working good right out of the box was an important factor to me. Overall, these are a quality pair of earphones with very few flaws. Get Cheap Price On Amazon: http://amzn.to/1li2UsIRead more
