Why is my canon mini printer not working?

Make sure the battery is more than >50% charged, and try to upgrade firmware again. –OR– Press the RESET button and turn on the printer –OR– On the mobile device, turn the Bluetooth OFF and ON and then reconnect the printer.

According to Canon, the mini printer works with ZINK Zero Technology from Zink, this technology works in such a way that printers don't need ink to function but it just requires a certain type of film.

The built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery allows you to shoot up to 20 sheets per charge, although it will fully recharge in about 90 minutes – presumably you can do this from a USB power bank.
