  • video rendering and it works perfectly
  • Ryzen 7 1700 looks pretty good here on the All CPUs setting
  • Better Clocks With Better Coolers
  • strides to build a team suitable to return to the high-end
  • decent gaming performance and excellent performance everywhere
  • fast memory and a decent cooler and
  • 30W savings in power is really quite impressive
  • Their price points are very attractive
  • Its GUI is beautiful
  • and options are decent
  • 1700X and 1700 are excellent processors for their price

Cons

  • memory prices to come down in 3Q
  • The only limits AMD is putting in place lie on the chipset side
  • doesn't require the same level of thermal support
  • one thread is blocking another that ends in the system hanging
  • it is not a processor that is not designed for gaming
  • AMD Ryzen processors are NOT intended for gaming
  • Micro-operation caches are typically relatively small
  • Microsoft's operating system is not ready for these processors and has a major flaw
  • L2 cache size is a whopping 512 KiB per core
