The inMotion iM5 is the least expensive of Altec Lansing’s portable speaker systems for all dockable iPods, and it has the potential to be an appealing “low-end” entry in the inMotion line. Unfortunately, at $150 the iM5 is too expensive given the current competition. Unless you need the iM5’s video output jack, save up for the inMotion iM3 or check out Logitech’s similarly priced mm50, both of which offer better sound quality and a wireless remote.Read more
The Altec Lansing InMotion IM5 is a portable, shock-resistant speaker package with some nice extras, but the bass can distort even at normal listening volume.Read more
