The Touch HD 3 e-reader is one of the best mid level devices that Pocketbook has ever released. It has a very interesting design with the brushed aluminum and manual page turn buttons. The big selling points is the audio functionality, a color temperature glowlight system, Bluetooth and is the fact it is completely waterproof. The Pocketbook line of e-readers does not lock you into a walled garden and plays nice with the majority of ebook formats out there, such as PDF, EPUB, DJVU, FB2, FB2.ZIP, DOC, DOCX, RTF, PRC, TXT, CHM, HTM, HTML, MOBI, ACSM. Tolino has issued three different generations of the Shine e-reader, which is their mid level device. This is the first model in the lineup that was designed by Kobo and the Shine 3 is basically the Kobo Clara HD shell and internals. It does have Tolino software and the Tolino bookstore, which is appealing to the German audience.
