The PC-E Nikkor 24mm f/3.5D ED is the first ever wide-angle tilt-shift lens from Nikon. Designed for studio, architecture and landscape photography, the PC-E Nikkor 24mm f/3.5D ED is a serious investment at £1099.99 / €1642.00 / $1929. Read our in-depth PC-E Nikkor 24mm f/3.5D ED review.

Created chiefly for the high-end Nikon D300 and D3, the new 24mm PC (Perspective Control) lens from Nikon can also be used on other Nikon D-SLR cameras, such as the relatively new D60 on which I tested it, albeit with some loss of full automation and functionality. Being a manual focus lens it can also mount on most Nikon film SLRs as well; being a PC lens it is unique in both operation and function, which is mainly to control perspective and enhance depth of field options with its tilt and shift functions.

Pre-PMA 2008: Nikon today announced a new Nikkor unlike any before it and likely to prove an effective 'halo' product as well as an invaluable tool. The PC-E NIKKOR 24mm f/3.5D ED is a wide angle lens offering both tilt and shift movement. Also announced was the development of two further PC-E Nikkors in 45mm and 85mm focal lengths which shall be on show at PMA 2008.
