This lens feels very solidly built
more compact and better built
make it easy to shoot compelling lifestyle images
solid and well-built
sharpness in the center is excellent
with a very solid build and a very nice focus ring
28mm focal length and enjoy the Nikkor tremendously
focal length also matches my instinctive field of view quite well
It makes a rather good lens for black and white work
Nikkor is great for closeup to mid-distances

but built like a little tank
there is no system provided for locking the aperture at this setting
No hood is supplied as standard with this lens
Falloff of illumination towards the corners is very pronounced
Colors are slightly less saturated than Nikon's formula
Nikon mount SL-II is extremely hard to find
the focus ring stiffens up a little bit on the close focus range
the lens suffers from moderate field curvature
