The GameCube looked like a lunch box and even had a handle, but it was home to plenty of great (delicious) games.Read more
Kururin Squash review! http://classicgameroom.com/vaultpages/vaultpage/kururin-squash-nintendo-gamecube Classic Game Room reviews KURURIN SQUASH! for GameCube from Eighting and Nintendo released in 2004. This incredible puzzle / arcade game is the third in the Kururin series and first on the Nintendo GameCube with advanced graphics, lasers and flamethrowers! Pilot your blue duck in a helicopter through tight levels filled with enemies, fire, spinning fans and destruction doom walls! CGR Kururin Squash video review features Kururin Squash Nintendo GameCube gameplay. For whatever reason this was never released outside of Japan and must be played on either a Japanese Game Cube or a GameCube that can somehow play Japanese games.Read more

Classic Game Room HD reviews VIRTUA FIGHTER 1 for Sega Saturn, the buggy, glitchy one with framerate issues. This game was re-released as Virtua Fighter Remix which is the same game with smoother gameplay, improved visuals and less glitchy crap that ruins a great game. Virtua Fighter on the Sega Saturn is worse than the 32X version, which is surprisingly good. This CGR review of Virtua Fighter for Sega Saturn has gameplay showing Virtua Fighter game play on Sega Saturn.Read more
Classic Game Room HD reviews KAITEI DAISENSOU (In the Hunt) for Sega Saturn. This 1995 Japanese Sega Saturn release is from the 1993 Irem arcade machine, a side scrolling SHMUP video game where you play as a submarine and waste enemies underwater and in the air. Some of the team that worked on In the Hunt went on to create Metal Slug and you can see many similarities between the two games! Sadly this Saturn release is plagued by awful slowdown which practically ruins some of the fluid, stylized 2D gameplay in busy sections. This Sega Saturn game was published by Sims Co. Ltd.Read more
Classic Game Room HD reviews LAYER SECTION for the Sega Saturn. This space ship shooter from Taito is a Japanese release and the console version of the Japanese arcade shooter, Rayforce. Layer Section is also the same game as the American release, Galactic Attack (published in the U.S. by Acclaim). Play as one or two player (in co-op) and waste wave after wave of enemy spacecraft as they attempt to destroy you. Blast them with weapons which can be powered up or lock on and destroy them with guided lasers. How does one guide a laser exactly? Layer Section has remarkably smooth, well-rounded and complex gameplay allowing players to rack up points in a variety of ways. Locking on to numerous targets at once increases the multiplier for each ground target. For example you get(200 points for a single lock-on target being destroyed, 6200 for seven lock-ons at once and so forth. Extra space ships are awarded at 500,000 point intervals. End bosses are challenging and require a combination of straight gunfire and locking on maneuvers to be destroyed. Layer Section is a Japanese exclusive release that can be played on American Saturns with a 4 on 1 card. The cheapest and most accessible way to play this game is by finding it's twin, Galactic Attack. This CGR review of Layer Section has gameplay from Layer Section for Sega Saturn, one of the best SHMUPS on the console. Layer Section is an arcade-style, top-down, vertical scrolling space ship shooter.Read more
