  • auto-focusing is extremely quick in most situations
  • Build Quality and Handling Designed
  • Build quality is (as with all pros) really good
  • Geometric distortion control is quite impressive
  • Sharpness is very good
  • smaller
  • lighter and also much more affordable with a list price around
  • Both rings rotate very smoothly
  • good sharpness
  • good contrast and vibrant colours
  • zoom ring feels nice and is precise to use

Cons

  • 8 PRO does not offer image stabilisation
  • A wide-angle lens will always be susceptible to flare
  • no practical difference compared to a mechanical focus mechanism
  • the outer third portion is weaker
  • not a macro lens
  • chromatic aberration and loss of sharpness at the edges of the frame
  • is not an internally zooming one
  • equally wide Panasonic 7-14mm
  • it has no filter thread and it's a very expensive lens
  • non-removable hood which is made of plastic
  • heaviest Micro Four Thirds zoom lens
