  • C8 delivers an absolutely superb image in both SDR and HDR
  • quicker and easier to add a new feature
  • the shadow detail is excellent and the video processing is impressive
  • overall build quality is excellent
  • it looked better than ever before
  • greyscale and colour tracking are very accurate

  • easy and accurate

Cons

  • poor resolution of motion and far too much flicker
  • no one supports this open source version of dynamic metadata
  • support Dolby Vision
  • smart platform is rather simplistic
  • flicker was too obvious
  • there is no binary winner between the two
  • suitably equipped and powerful PC
  • The Vivid mode for SDR is overwrought but
  • The set defaults to an Eco picture preset
  • no content you can watch in those formats yet
  • it no longer supports analog component video
