The Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital ED 14-150mm f/4-5.6 II is a weather-proof superzoom lens for the Micro Four Thirds compact system camera range. Providing a 35mm equivalent focal range of 28-300mm, this new version of the Olympu 14-150mm lens also features a ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating and improved mechanical construction. Read our in-depth Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital ED 14-150mm f/4-5.6 II review now...
The M Zuiko Digital 14-150mm F4-5.6 is Olympus's fourth lens for its Pen series cameras, and the first to venture into the telephoto region. Its 10.7x zoom ratio places it firmly in 'superzoom' territory, covering a very useful 28-300mm equivalent range, and making it ideal for general purpose 'walkaround' or travel use. (Indeed Olympus says that with it on your camera 'you will never miss a photo opportunity', perhaps begging the question as to why the company still makes other lenses.)
As an equivalent to a 28-300mm, this mark II version is an update to the earlier retro-looking model by the same name. It features the darkened chrome cosmetics and finely-machined zoom and focus rings of the maker’s pro-oriented models, and now includes dust- and splash-proofing and new coatings. Read on to find out how well this new model performs.
The Olympus 14-150mm f4-5.6 II isn't the company's sharpest lens, but it's probably their most useful. See our review.
Find out what 3 readers thought of the Olympus 14-150mm f/4-5.6 II M.Zuiko Digital ED in our review.
The Olympus M.Zuiko ED 14-150mm f4.0-5.6 II adds weather sealing, but doesn't offer any optical advantages over the first version of the lens.
