The Samsung BD-P1500 Blu-ray player has a great DVD upscaler and decent pricing.
This Blu-ray player was the one I used with the recently reviewed Samsung Series 6 Full HD LE32A656 however any full HD TV should allow you to see the full glory of Blu-ray. To hear the full cinema sound quality you will need a 5.1 or 7.1 sound system.
What’s that? You’re still watching regular DVDs on a regular DVD player? Or even worse…you’re still hanging onto HD-DVD? Maybe you’ve upgraded to one of those upconverting DVD players in hopes of extracting more HD from your HDTV? Well, it’s time for you to get with the program and upgrade to the world of true […]
If you're looking to upgrade to Blu-ray on a tight budget, Samsung's BD-P1500 player is a worthy candidate.
Budget deck that lacks features but delivers terrific HD pictures
The BD-P1500 is Samsung's fourth-generation Blu-ray player. Its elegant high-gloss, piano-black chassis is sure to stand out in any equipment rack. While dedicated Blu-ray players haven't reached rock-bottom prices yet, the BD-P1500 is Samsung's least expensive to date at $400, $150 less then the BD-P1400 that came out less than a year ago. The BD-P1500 is not the holy grail of Blu-ray players, but its feature set and lower price could be just what you've been waiting for.
The BD-P1500 remains a good choice for average home theater buyers looking to break into Blu-ray.
