Linksys is a brand many of us know. My first wireless router was a Linksys and now that Linksys was switched their router design back to the older style taking a look at this router brings back a little nostalgia. Of course this router is nothing like the first Linksys router I owned, this is the new WRT3200ACM MU-MIMO Wireless Router. This new router in Linksys' WRT family features Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) data streaming and Tri-Stream 160 technology, that doubles the 80MHz channel width on the 5GHz band to achieve faster throughput speeds. This router also gives you four Gigabit Ethernet ports, a USB 3.0 port, and a very interesting combo USB / eSATA port. Can this router prove to be one to get this Holiday season?
The Linksys WRT3200ACM Wi-Fi Router is the fastest router I've had the privilege of connecting to. The only caveat – it's $250.
Belkin's announced its latest router in its WRT family, the Linksys WRT3200ACM MU-MIMO Gigabit Wi-Fi Router. This is a powerful router that costs $280, but you might want to wait a bit before getting it -- if at all.
FlashRouters offers wireless routers with open-source firmware so you can install a secure VPN in your home. Here is our FlashRouters VPN Router review!
Although the Linksys WRT3200ACM comes with a high price tag, it's got the performance and perfect design to back it up.
A couple of years ago in my BitFenix Flo review, I wrote about we know how to "optimize the individual rate allocation to every node in a multi-device MIMO wireless network using fancy techniques like SLP-PA", but "might run into a bit of trouble setting up a $20 Wi-Fi router we buy from the local computer store". By "we", of course, I mean my colleagues -- including Technical Editor Hai Wang, who is doing his PhD right now -- in the Wireless Networking Research Laboratory at the University of Calgary, who are supposedly experts in the field of wireless communications. However, the biggest irony that we are faced with today is not necessarily due to any assertions we cannot figure out how to set up a $20 Wi-Fi router we buy from the local computer store, which all of us have no issues with doing, but rather the fact me being the Editor-in-Chief here at APH Networks for over a decade has never covered a Wi-Fi router for review. As someone who does research in the area of wireless networking, how much more fitting can it get for me to spend some time looking at Wi-Fi routers on this website? As we come together for the first time in the history of this online publication, let us take a look at the Linksys WRT3200ACM. The Linksys WRT3200ACM is not only one of the company's upper tier routers, but being the spiritual successor to the famous WRT54G, is also one that is open source ready for you to load in DD-WRT or OpenWRT at your discretion. Read on to find out how it fares!
After the very successful WRT1900AC and WRT1900ACS AC1900 Smart Wi-Fi routers the WRT3200ACM AC3200 model is here to remind us just why the WRT line by Linksys is so popular among enthusiasts and professionals.

Wireless networking technology seems to be evolving every day. Not that long ago the best we could hope for was a single megabit of bandwidth. Today, our home networks are faster than ever. When Linksys released their Max-Stream EA9500, wireless networking was able to surpass the performance of wired networks for the first time. While this technology was loved by enthusiasts, it’s price point kept it out of the hands of many consumers. When you want the best of the best, you’ll have to pay a pretty penny for it. With the WRT3200ACM router, Linksys is hoping to challenge that
The Linksys WRT3200ACM MU-MIMO Gigabit Wi-Fi Router is a moderately priced dual-band router that offers the latest Wi-Fi technologies and delivers blazing 5GHz and file transfer speeds.
