Introduction There have been a lot of advances in the world of mobile technology over the years, and while speaker quality has improved greatly, there's the simple hurdle that tiny speakers can only do so much. When it comes to enjoying your favourite media, blasting it through the mobile devices speakers just doesn't always cut it. The best solution to that is an external audio solution such as a dock, speaker, or even headphones. Creative has a lot of experience in the world of audio, so it makes sense that they would be a capable brand when it comes to
Creative MUVO 2 Review tech news at BGR India
We finish up with Creative's 1.5GB micro HDD portable.
A couple of months back, Creative Labs announced the two real portable speakers, which are the MUVO 2 and MUVO 2C. I've got the chance to try the MUVO 2 in the last few weeks and following is the full review.
Creative is a trusted brand in the audio space. They were the first ones to introduce popular consumer audio cards and Creative CD-ROM drives back in the 90’s. Today we get a smart sophisticated Bluetooth speaker from Creative called the Muvo 2.
With majority of consumers turning to smartphones and tablets for content consumption, Bluetooth speakers have become incredibly popular. Today's wireless speakers are what boomboxes were to the 80s. Little wonder then, many brands are trying their luck in this rapidly growing segment. One of the brands that has been doing good work is Creative.
The Creative Muvo 2 is a Bluetooth speaker that, in my opinion, may give other speakers a run for their money when it comes to cost and sound.
The Muvo 2 does have its merits and that is why, cautiously though, I recommend it. Water proof speakers generally don't sound that good.
Everyone I show the MuVo² to wants one, but at £170 they're perhaps looking elsewhere and sacrificing portability and choosing ZENs or something from Rio. It seems users will stick with the capacity limits of flash-based players for a device this size, saving money. But if you have the cash, consider it. Do you really need 30GB of tunes on the move, especially with a 10 hour battery life? I didn't think so. This Microdrive-powered wonder impressed me, I can see it having a few more fans out there in affluent-people-with-a-penchant-for-cool-gadgets land.
Sound quality and battery life make up for plasticky looks. Shortlist as a mid-range choice.
