Literally.
A few months ago, I was talking to someone at a party who specialized in veterinary medicine. Since my background is in electrical engineering, I had absolutely no knowledge of anything in that particular field. Therefore, I had to think fast to relate to the person I was talking to in order to carry on the conversation. "I know how to operate on animals too," I began. "They just happen to be cooked. And they are usually rotisserie chicken from Costco." Here is the thing: No matter how good I may think I am in my field of specialization, the moment I step out of my realm, I am as clueless as anybody else. Interestingly, even within the field of electrical engineering, I only know very specific things about wireless communication systems. If you want to talk to me about anything else like power systems or software design, my discussion with you would probably go as far as my friend in veterinary medicine. That said, while I may be good at very specific things, there are definitely people out there who are good at a few more things than me. And this concept, in some ways, can translate to inanimate items we use every day as well. For example, a computer mouse designed for first person shooters is quite different than something designed for MOBA games... or is it? Corsair Gaming's latest Glaive RGB optical mouse promises to be the ultimate experience for FPS and MOBA titles that can dominate on any battlefield, all day long. This seems to be an ambitious goal, but it does come with three interchangeable thumb grips for different styles of play to prove their point. As such, we took one in to find out if the Corsair Gaming Glaive RGB is like the person who is good at more than just one thing or not.
The Corsair Glaive RGB Pro is a versatile mouse with solid performance, but you may not use its biggest feature much.
Interchangeable side grips are a good idea, but it's Corsair's CUE2 software that's the Glaive RGB's biggest draw. Dedicated gamers may want an extra side button or two, however.
When you think of Corsair gaming products the first thing you probably think about is their gaming keyboards, but their gaming mice are pretty great too. I am actually still using their Scimitar Pro RGB as my everyday mouse. Today Corsair is introducing a brand new gaming mouse, the Glaive RGB. Glaive has been designed specifically for FPS and MOBA gamers to deliver ultimate performance as well as comfort. It features a 16000 DPI optical sensor, interchangeable thumb grips, OMRON switches, 6 programmable buttons, and the ability to save profiles on the mouse itself. Let's see if this is the ultimate gaming mouse!
The Glaive RGB is the latest high-end ergonomic mouse by Corsair. It comes with a custom sensor, three interchangeable thumb grips, and three individual lighting zones for customization. At $69.99, it is on the pricey side, but it also delivers solid quality. Let's look at the details and its performance in more depth.
Today I will be reviewing the Corsair Glaive RGB Gaming Mouse. I can recall the days of old when cleaning the rollers for your tracking ball where a daily occurrence. The amount of gunk that a mouse could collect was astonishing. Thankfully with the invention of the laser we no longer...

The latest Glaive RGB Gaming Mouse by Corsair may not be ideal for MOBA/MMO games like the Scimitar Pro but it's very suitable for FPS titles.
I'm a huge fan of Corsair's mechanical gaming keyboards, but I'll admit I had never used a Corsair gaming mouse until the Glaive landed on my desk...
The Corsair Glaive RGB Pro doesn’t come cheap and lacks the ability to adjust its weight, but it offers an overall great user experience and swappable side grips.
