Pros

  • sharper and has a more brilliant look
  • The colors are softer and the tones are smoother
  • a great lens and one worthy of daily shooter
  • it can be quite nice in the right situations and light
  • honest
  • balanced appraisals
  • aperture ring is smooth but solid
  • it is a VERY well made lens
  • excellent and I do like the Zeiss color
  • Colors are nice and very sharp at f1
  • heavy

Cons

  • barrel distortion in the Nokton shot
  • Too many looks like a picture of soap bubbles
  • Bokeh on my 40 is very harsh actually
  • focus deficiency makes a lens unusable
  • bright rings around the out-of-focus highlights
  • tend to use the lens for landscape very often
  • It is a lot larger
  • and a lot heavier
  • it s pretty crap
  • A sharp image is not necessarily a good image
  • this lens is not my lens of choice for landscape or architecture
