Pros

  • It gets you access to the things you actually need quickly and easily
  • responsive new capacitive touchscreen
  • the charger also supports generic USB devices
  • good legibility and an interface big enough to be easy and ergonomic to use
  • Go 5000 is pretty quick to both calculate routes initially and recalculate on the fly
  • important better and easier to use
  • UK is super easy with Thesishelpers
  • The screen is also quite responsive
  • navigational experience is very well presented
  • the touch screen is very responsive and easy to use
  • The visual display of 3D maps is wonderful

Cons

  • not ideal
  • dusk sun are no match for the bright display
  • dedicated satellite navigation market to be dwindling
  • it s not a solidly build unit
  • a few turns and highways that are a little confusing at times
  • navs is a risky business for TomTom
  • actually limited to four or more country updates per year
  • too bulky a device to have permanently stuck to their windscreen
  • both units are quite bulky
  • this sat nav can not be beaten
  • poor screen quality immediately
