Pros

  • Fast with a good amount of tightly controlled bass
  • tonal balance of the HD440 is quite good as well
  • HD660 is superb for Rock
  • smoother and more refined phone
  • HD660 is more fun in terms of bass
  • detailed but lively and fun
  • mids are nice
  • full bodied and tube like
  • punches fast
  • tight and the impact is good
  • Sony's mids are nice and warm

Cons

  • Not bass light but rather lacks impact
  • there is no real depth in the soundstage

  • cans are not that hard to drive
  • have a very long burn in time
  • The mid-range is a bit recessed
  • the headphone digging into my skull after extended use
