Sony's 1080p powerhouse, the KDL-40EX500, has all the motion-smoothing tech of its pricey brethren, but delivers it in a basic, financial-aid friendly package.

As a lower-priced model in Sony's 2010 TV lineup, the KDL-46EX500 doesn't offer perks like 240Hz, 3D capability, and BRAVIA Internet Video. This traditional CCFL-backlit LCD does offer a 120Hz refresh rate and a healthy amount of A/V inputs and picture adjustments.
