Center-weighted sharpness is impressive
The AF works pretty fast and silently
broad
rubberized focus and zoom control rings operate smoothly
The build quality of the Sony lens is actually pretty decent
Surprisingly great performance for a kit lens

lightweight and relatively affordable

The center quality of the tested sample was good
The center quality is perfectly fine even at fully open aperture
The rubberized control rings also operate nicely

There are no hard stops at either end of the range

some pin-cushioning in the RAW files
moving to the edges and it becomes very soft
Sony A7 II and they were both similarly poor
The extreme edges of the frame are a little murky
Surprisingly Sony did also implement weather sealing
