The high-end Sony KD-55XD8599B is a very capable UHD(4K) HDR TV with iconic looks and impressive picture quality. Whilst undoubtedly expensive, it's a lot more affordable than many of the flagship HDR TVs on sale in 2016, and offers a good entry-point into this new technology.   • the wide viewing angles are optimal for living rooms with multiple seating positions
  • Sony has included other color profiles that are much better
  • much better after calibration and XD85 is perfectly capable of reproducing very accurate colors
  • generally considered good enough and below 25 ms is considered very good
  • backlighting system is very energy efficient
  • works very well
  • looks great
  • decent amp and speakers and sit back and enjoy
  • wide color gamut and gets quite bright to display HDR content
  • Image remains accurate when viewed at an angle which is good for wide living rooms
  • Image remains accurate when viewed at an angle so everyone gets a good view
