Sony is surprisingly impressive
crisp and clear delivery with plenty of detail and a surprisingly wide soundstage
great result and calibration is relatively easy
the gradient looks very smooth and is almost perfect
Motion is handled very well and uniformity of grays and colors is better than average
a bit better input lag and slightly better response time
better black uniformity
and has better reflection handling
the sides Gradients are smooth and without stepping Great handling of motion
Deep colors in HDR content will be fairly well represented
significantly better contrast and better local dimming
wide viewing angle and can display a wide range of colors with very smooth gradients
X800E performs very well on our gradient test

smaller models have been somewhat neglected

the edge backlight implementation is particularly poor
suffers quite badly with stutter and lag
No cherry-picked units sent by brands
Dirty screen effect is not really a problem
Very few artifacts can be seen and edges are smoothed without reducing the sharpness
gamut narrows significantly when showing very dark colors
deficiencies in the blacks are quite apparent when used in a darker setting
