It doesn't look like a pro-level camera, but can it work like one?
The Sony NEX-6 compact system cameras features downloadable apps
The Sony NEX-6 came out not too long ago and I have been eager to try it and I was very fortunate to get the camera in time for my New York City vacation. Things fell into place and here I was with the new NEX, 50mm f/1.8 and the fresh off the press Sony 10-18mm f/4. There is something about the small size of the Sony that makes one subliminally think that this camera can't do the heavy lifting of a professional cameras.
The mirrorless Alpha NEX-6 by Sony models a 16.1-megapixel APS-C CMOS image sensor, enabled 1080i video capture, and Wi-Fi.

The Sony Alpha NEX-6 sits somewhere in-between the series' flagship NEX-7 and the NEX-5R, in terms of handling, performance and, of course, price. It comes with a 16MP sensor, an electronic viewfinder and takes after the prosumer controls of the NEX-7. Discover how the camera performs in our review.

The pricey-but-well-rounded Sony Alpha NEX-6 is an excellent camera for mirrorless enthusiasts, but it doesn't quite edge out the entry-level NEX-F3 as our Editors' Choice.

A new NEX model with Wi-Fi connectivity and controls that will appeal to photo enthusiasts.
Another NEX with Wi-Fi and apps
So that there’s no confusion, this story is about a camera that was introduced in the fall of 2012. Like many of the cameras that I use, it’s not the latest or greatest—but it’s miles above the “good enough” threshold. And it’s very affordable in today’s secondhand marketplace. The Sony NEX 6 is an outstanding performer and it can be purchased at a true bargain price. Sound interesting? You can buy a used Sony NEX 6 in very good condition for a price between $200 and $350 (body only). I paid $750 for mine when it first came out five years ago.
Sony seems content with rolling out endless variations on its popular line of mirrorless cameras. The final one for 2012, the NEX-6, fills out the pricier end between the NEX-5R and the NEX-7, but can it find a foothold to thrive among so many siblings?
I usually start a review of a camera like this straight after brekky, while I’m fresh, with an uncluttered mind. But sometimes it seems I would have been better off by kicking off with a cluttered mind! So I pick up the NEX-6. Hit the power button. Look in the LCD. Looks awfully dark. What’s
