  • excellent image quality and build quality
  • versatile focal length that works well for many types of images
  • The lens balances very nicely on a Sony mirrorless camera body
  • good bokeh and strong autofocus accuracy
  • reasonably compact and lightweight without sacrificing build quality
  • smooth
  • efficient operation

  • the GM lenses are always very feature rich
  • promising quiet

Cons

  • the focus hold button
  • the lens will not focus past infinity
  • the focus was so inconsistent under fluorescent light
  • light falloff is marginal
  • this lens only make sense on a full frame camera
