Focus overall is excellent outside of that one quirk
great balance of size to quality and performance
Flare resistance was also excellent
Reasonably sized
reasonably priced
and optically superior
FE20G is clearly better than some competitors
excellent center performance
excellent mid-frame performance
and excellent corner performance
Focus accuracy was also good
quieter and smoother
Both longitudinal and lateral chromatic aberrations are well controlled
FE20G has a very flexible approach to controlling aperture
good lighting it does its best job
incredibly sharp
highly capable prime
The sharpness and color reproduction are both lovely with contrast to match
relatively inexpensive primes extremely well
Sharpness is pretty consistent across the apertures

all a single piece essentially with no external moving elements
barrel distortion is also evident too and lens shading
highly audible auto focus mechanism
already extremely short object focus distance
only has one aspherical lens surface
barrel distortion can be corrected using a lens profile
Anything reflective would have a bit of a fuzzy/halo look to
Borrow Lenses sticker on the side of the lens
its performance is terrible
the grass and the chain from the swing do look pretty terrible
the noise starts becoming apparent if you need to crop
pulsing in and out instead of focus just settling
inferior focus motor and a potentially fatal flaw
There is no direct mechanical coupling with the lens elements
