TCs perform very
very well overall
contrast and colors looked superb
seem well-built
and sturdy

noticeably less fringing in high contrast areas
Tamron does not is an extra customization switch
only autofocus on the center focus point
No sharpening
4x loses about the same amount of sharpness
lost the ability to autofocus
f stop and hunts a bit for focus
the performance at the maximum aperture is rather weak
Autofocus Speed will decrease a little
diffraction effects ruin the resolution beyond this aperture
No belt loop or clip on it
only slowed the lens focus speed down
Vignetting and Chromatic Aberration The teleconverter reduces the level of vignetting
It s only compatible with a few Sigma lenses
