  • bokeh is pretty neutral all around
  • image quality it produces is very good
  • rather short focus path the AF works quite fast

  • aperture bladed crumpled and the aperture arm on the camera stripped
  • rear focus system eliminates the need for the front of the lens to rotate

Sigma 20mm F1.8 EX DG Aspherical RF

Pros

  • bokeh is pretty neutral all around
  • image quality it produces is very good
  • rather short focus path the AF works quite fast
  • nicely sized and solidly built
  • The manual focus ring is nicely sized - and smooth
  • It has a nice quality and also the durability of this lens is superb
  • this lens is really good even in an environment with low lights
  • Lens corrections are incredibly easy thanks to software
  • incredibly easy and quick fix within any
  • The focusing ring is nicely ribbed and easy to use

Cons

  • aperture bladed crumpled and the aperture arm on the camera stripped
  • rear focus system eliminates the need for the front of the lens to rotate
  • simultaneously as wide and as fast
  • some correction dialed in on my bodies
  • abrupt change in lens diameter is not a nice comfort feature
  • do not need a fast aperture
  • 82mm filters are not cheap
  • Sigma lens may be a challenge for your muscle memory
  • The front element does not rotate during focusing
  • a lot of vignetting on the corners
  • reasonably expensive
